What happened to the iPod Touch prototypes?
Just after the theft of one of the prototype of iPhone 4G, a pair of enigmatic iPod Touches known as DVT-1 and DVT-2 appeared on an online auction site eBay.
ITWire stated that according to an Apple news blog, the two iPod devices are equipped with cameras and an enigmatic 'SwtichBoard OS.' This OS has been speculated as an early version of a future OS, even though the images seem defective at greatest.
The blog also stated that DVT stands for Design Verification Test, which means that the enigmatic devices are prototype models. However, both auctions were being cancelled before they were even available for sale.
Apple is still not able to give explanation about both devices, which has raised conspiracy amongst worldwide Apple fanatics. On the other hand, it distinguishes the iPhone 4G which is confirmed to be a property of Apple.
The last set of iPod Touches was highly anticipated to include cameras. Nevertheless, Apple abstained from installing camera in the 3G version of the iPod Touch due to problems of hardware incompatibility.
However, considering the auctions, it is not impossible for the iPod Touches to be camera-equipped soon.
