Vodaphone UK recently launched its Wi-Fi calling services for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Customers can make or receive calls from these two Galaxy phones from any location where it is hard to get a phone signal.

The service comes handy in places like the London basement, inside houses surrounded by thick walls, or at any local coffee shop where getting a phone signal is difficult, states Android Central.

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the wireless networking technology is also available for the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. You can have access to the Wi-Fi network service on any of the Red Value bundle, Pay Monthly Red, Business Premier* or Red+ packages.

Those who have devices compatible with the Wi-Fi network can take advantage of the service. However, make sure that you buy the compatible device from a Vodaphone’s physical and online stores or through Vodaphone’s customer service team.

The best part of it all is that you don’t need to download any app separately to get Wi-Fi connection on your device. All you have to do is switch on Wi-Fi services from the Settings option. From then on, you don’t have to worry if your phone doesn’t show a signal since you can make or receive calls and access the web on the Wi-Fi service, says Vodaphone.

It is easy to check and download the latest Wi-Fi update by going to your phone's Settings (About device) then update your software. However, you may need to follow a few simple rules to get access to the wireless network.

First, type the word ‘CALLING’ and send the text message to 97888. The message sent comes free of charge. Next, you will receive a confirmation message in the next 24 hours stating that the Wi-Fi calling service is added to their Vodaphone account. Finally, you will receive a notification for it once the set up is done so that you can start using the wireless service, reports Tech Times.
