Richelle Mead's novel, "Vampire Academy" has been a bestselling novel which will now hit the big screen with a new release date. The movie adaptation was scheduled to be released on Valentine's Day but it seems like the Weinstein Company has moved it a week earlier. If you are contemplating on whether this movie adaptation about a group of vampires going to school is worth a watch, just know that the movie is written by screenwriter Daniel Waters and directed by Mark Waters. Daniel Waters who wrote the screenplay for "Heathers" and Mark Waters, which directed "Mean Girls".

The novel is about non-immortal vampires who will start going to school, they are called the moroi vampires. Zoey Deutch plays the role of Rose Hathaway who is a Dhampir and a vampire guardian. The strigoi vampires, the immortal, bloodsucking vampires, decide to invade the high school sucking the blood of the moroi vampires-moroi versus strigoi sort of movie but it brings back the classic, ageless vampires that everyone loved before "Twilight" had ruined the notion of everyone's favorite dark creatures of the night.

Is it worth the watch? Definitely, if you like Sarah Hylland from "Modern Family" and want to see girls rocking cool outfits and sucking blood then this is the movie for you. The novel is a great series in which many fans of the book are excited for its release.
