Telstra has made it firm that its Next G mobile network has been going through an outage in Queensland early today; however it said that the problems are expected to be entirely resolved by lunchtime.

According to iTWire, a spokesperson for the telco stated that customers may have been experiencing trouble making phone calls via mobile phone or using smart mobile phones to receive email messages as Telstra has been experiencing an outage.

The telco said that a series of solutions have been implemented and it could restore services for almost all users. Nevertheless, the network had been stopped-up as customers were dialling on the same number repeatedly, which is understood to mean that customers were attempting to re-dial on the numbers.

"We expect to fully resolve the issue by lunchtime," Telstra said.
