The Script's single "Superheroes" might be a hit, but the fact that the band lives up to their single's title is even more amazing. En route to a gig, the Irish pop rock band members acted like real superheroes and saved a woman from a motorway crash. The woman could not be any more grateful and overwhelmed.

Mirror UK reports that the The Script was on their way to Key 103's Christmas Live show being held at the Manchester Arena when they chanced upon an accident and took the time out to rush in and help. "The Voice" judge Danny O'Donoghue himself confirmed the group's heroic action on Twitter after some Twitter users swore they saw him in the scene. "Thank god she was alright, hit the barrier and spun out, got her out as the engine was starting to smoke," the tweet reads. Witnesses said that Danny ran across the M40 to help a lady trapped in a crashed car.

The band later also added that they had no choice but to help or it would have turned "very bad." They also said the woman they rescued is already okay and safe, but the car was a total wreckage.

The woman who was fortunate to be saved by the band expressed her heartfelt gratitude when speaking to radio station Key 103. The 25-year-old woman explained that she was hit by the side and her car spun out of control. The car kept spinning, trapping her inside. She said she got out of the car with the band's help while all sorts of things are going on at the same time, showing how chaotic the scene was. She thanked her saviours, saying, "I gave them a cuddle before I left but I never said thank you."

This is not the first time that the band has been lauded for their charitable and helpful deeds. Last month, they were also praised for being the first ever band to perform for the "Children in Need 2014." For the BBC charity night, the Irish band showcased their then still very new single, "Superheroes," delighting their Twitter fans. According to Mirror UK, the fans said that seeing the band made them even more excited to see The Script live in February 2015.
