A new beta for “Street Fighter V” has been dated. From Dec. 17 to 20, fans will get to jump into the fray again for another round.

There is a recent update that arrived on the PS4 and PC versions of the game, dubbed as the version 1.06 update, EventHubs reported. The file size is pretty big, clocking in at 2.26GB in size. According to the source, this could mean that a stress test may be in the works, but there has been no official announcements from the developer.

The same update has been spotted for the PC version of “Street Fighter V,” but it may be a hint that PC players can also be included in the beta run. There are also no details of the characters that will be included in the beta test, but it is not unlikely to see newer faces, in the same way that previous beta tests have included newly announced fighters in the roster.

Apart from the upcoming beta, there is another way for fans to experience “Street Fighter V.” Capcom has already confirmed that its brawler title will be present in the PlayStation Experience event, which will be held in San Francisco on Dec. 5 and 6.

According to PressA2Join, the title is spearheading Capcom’s lineup for the event. In addition, the Capcom Cup, which has been announced earlier will also be held at the event. The competition pits 32 of the best players of “Ultra Street Fighter IV” against each other for a US$250,000 (approx. AU$341,000) prize money.

So far, the “Street Fighter V” booth at the PlayStation Experience event will feature newly announced fighters like Dhalsim, Rashid, Laura and Karin. Older fighters will also be available for players to sample, bringing the total playable roster count to 15 fighters.

Fans may also have another reason to anticipate the exclusive “Street Fighter V” bundle. Shoryuken has spotted a couple of alternative costume colours for some of the characters. These screenshots were showcased in the Japanese magazine Famitsu.

Characters like Dhalsim, Laura, Ryu, Chun-Li, Bison, Cammy and Birdie all received alternative colour costumes. The most interesting transformation is Necalli, whose hair has become white for both his normal and transformed forms. All the screenshots can be seen in the link above.

Currently, the “Street Fighter V” exclusive bundles have been announced for Japan. This appears to be the only way by which fans can get a hold of the alternative colour costumes. Already, fans appear to be receiving the cosmetic alternatives pretty well, which could push the developer to make them available outside of Japan in some way. “Street Fighter V” will launch on the PS4 and PC on Feb. 16, 2016.
