According to Making Star Wars, viewers will first see Rey (Daisy Ridley) in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” foraging through the insides of a huge Star Destroyer, which has somehow crashed on the planet years before. Writer Jason Ward said a concept art for the character shows her standing at a ledge of the Destroyer leading to a certain doom.

Rey’s concept art reportedly shows the hero in the film as an agile scavenger who is willing to take risks. Ward said her scavenging the innards of the Star Destroyer takes some great skills in parkour, especially since in the concept art she’s supposedly shown “hundreds of feet up in the belly of the beast.” “The concept art is also ‘shot’ at angles meant to induce a sense of vertigo which makes Rey seem pretty badass and brave,” Ward added.

Rey’s next scene in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” sees her leaving the Star Destroyer and riding her speeder back to her salvage station. According to Ward, Rey somehow lives a lonely life as the concept art shows her eating dinner alone and living by herself in her salvage station. However, this will all soon change when she hears a call for help from BB-8. Ward said Rey tries to sell the droid after rescuing it, but after some failed haggling, she eventually decides to keep BB-8, solving her “loneliness problem.”

BB-8 will not be the only company Rey finds in the salvage station. She will eventually also meet Finn (John Boyega). According to Screenrant, Finn is an Imperial Soldier who defects from the Empire and is being hunted down by his Imperial commander, said to be played by Gwendolyn Christie. He meets Rey and her new companion BB-8 and together they start on a journey across galaxies to find the missing Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker.

Ward said Rey’s final scene in the first act of “Star Wars: The First Awakens” sees her, BB-8 and Finn aboard the Millennium Falcon being chased by TIE Fighters. Rey is piloting the ship while Finn is stationed at the turret, trying his best to fire at the enemies. This chase scene supposedly takes place on a one-sun desert setting, which Star Wars Underworld claimed is not in Tatooine but in an entirely different planet since Tatooine has double sunsets.
