The last season saw Olivia getting on a plane with Jake and disappearing from Fitz's life. After two m months, she returned to Washington DC in the premiere episode of Season 4. However, she stayed away from Fitz and the White House. Now, a crisis brings Olivia back to the Oval, according to the preview of "Scandal" Season 4 episode 4, which is titled "Like Father, Like Daughter."

The crisis is related to Karen Grant, daughter of Fitz and Mellie. The preview provides a glimpse of Karen, wearing only her panties, lying unconscious in a bed. This has the potential to destroy the reputation of the President's family.

There was no scene of Fitz and Olivia in the last episode. Fitz had to ask Abby how Olivia is doing. Also, expect for a brief moment in episode 2, where Fitz asked Olivia to go through his speech, these two have not really met or talked. Fitz has plenty of questions and the preview clip of episode 4 suggests that he is finally going to ask them. He is seen asking Olivia where did she go. It looks like "Like Father, Like Daughter" is the episode that the fans of Fitz-Olivia are waiting for.

The last episode saw Olivia's old friend, Katherine, enlisting her help to track down her missing daughter. The missing daughter had moved to a hotel after she caught her mother in a compromising position with her boyfriend. The daughter was killed and Katherine was arrested for her murder. The elevator surveillance footage twisted this case. In the video, Katherine's daughter could be seen struggling with a man, stopping him from taking a file in her hand. In the episode, Olivia, Huck and Quinn are likely to piece together the events and find the real culprit, if the mother is not the killer as she claims. This case may have some link with Karen's case.

David has been using the files, given to him by Jake, for his own benefit. In the last episode, he pulled out a file and used the information in it to force a judge to rule in favour of gun control. The judge did as asked but later committed suicide. The preview suggests that Jake is going to confront after he comes to know that David is using the files, not to fix B-613 but to win his own battles.

Meanwhile, Stephen Collins' scenes from "Scandal" Season 4 have been cut, after a video surfaced in which the actor, 67, has apparently admitted to molesting one child and exposing himself to multiple children, according to reports.
