The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 remains to be the phablet of choice for those who want to score a device with massive screen with stylus, but not for long because Samsung itself already confirmed the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 this year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release

At this point, all signs point to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release in the second half of 2014, more specifically sometime this fall.

A couple of weeks ago, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release has been heavily rumoured. According to IT Today, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release will likely happen this year. In January, a Samsung executive announced that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be for spring and the Galaxy Note 4 for fall.

Water and Dust Resistance

Rumours say that the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will at least have one feature in common. IT Today reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will also feature an IP67 certification, which means that the phablet will be dust-proof and water-resistant, similar to the Galaxy S5. Another rumour suggests that the Galaxy Note 4 will sport a Galaxy S5-ish fingerprint sensor.

Other Specs

Thus far, apart from the aforementioned, rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 remain scarce. However, according to a Bloomberg report, Samsung is prepping to put three-sided display on the Galaxy Note 4 to improve better viewing angles on the phablet.

Other rumours suggest that the South Korean tech giant is also trying to incorporate QHD display this year, but since the Galaxy S5 went with a full HD 1,080p display instead, the Galaxy Note 4 might be the first Samsung device to sport the QHD display this year.

Thus far, although these rumours are credible given the 2014 plans of Samsung, consumers must take these rumours with a grain of salt. Essentially, at this point, the only thing that is likely is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release will be this fall and everything else might change as the release date approaches.
