OnePlus X is now available for purchase by UK customers at the OnePlus online store for a mere £199 (AU$423). There’s a catch, however. You can only buy the phone at this inexpensive price if you have an exclusive invitation to buy it.

OnePlus made the invitations available on a series of competitions across social media. It will discard the invite system in favor of a series of flash sales later this year, reported Express.co.uk.

OnePlus move to sell a limited edition of 10,000 ceramic models using online invites was a big hit, and it now it seems this limited edition has sold out. Just hours after the invite announcement, the protective cases sold out, too.

Starting Nov. 6, the OnePlus Onyx glass version will be up for grabs. It comes with five extra options for protective cases but for that you’ll have to pay an additional €24.99 (AU$38).

The new Android phone is smaller in size than the OnePlus 2 phablet. The 5-inch display boasts of 1080p Amoled technology. The phablets comes with a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Shoot selfies with its 8 MP front-facing camera that’s also suitable for video calls.

The OnePlus 2 phablet has got a lightning-fast 0.2 seconds autofocus, the fastest so far on any other OnePlus device. Furthermore, the handset has an impressive compact configure that lets you hold it comfortably in one hand.

Opt for a metal or glass case but both have killer looks. Powered by Android Oxygen OS the smartphone has a Snapdragon 801 processor at its core with 3GB RAM to increase speed. To know more about the phablet’s features, you can visit GSMarena.

Remember, only a limited edition of the Ceramic edition will be available to those with Ceramic specific invites both in Europe and India around November 24.
