The OnePlus 3T has advanced charging capabilities as it supports Dash charge. When compared with Google Pixel XL, which of the two Android smartphones will charge faster? Well, a YouTube video has tested the charging capabilities of the two handsets and the result is pretty interesting. The Google Pixel XL has the USB-C Power Delivery. Of course, actual charging time depends on a lot of factors such as power source, smartphone configuration, usage during charge and phone settings.

According to Tech Times, the video shows that after a 30-minute charge, the Google Pixel XL could charge only 19 percent whereas the OnePlus 3T handset showed 57 percent charged. To proceed with the test, the OnePlus handset was connected to the OnePlus Dash car charger and the Google Pixel XL was connected to the USB-C Belkin 27W car charger. The Pixel phone sports a 3,450 mAh battery and the OnePlus 3T smartphone sports a 3,400 mAh battery. Both devices were charged for 30 minutes with the Google Maps app on.

“Can Dash Charge deliver a day's power in half an hour during our commute? The Dash Car Charger races against the Google Pixel's Fast Charging technology on our way to work!” reads the video description.

The video, shared below, affirms the fact that with the OnePlus Dash car charger, a user can get a day’s worth of power in a single charge. The reason the Dash charger was able to charge the OnePlus 3T handset faster is because it converts the voltage in the adapter to minimise the heat that gradually builds up during the charging process. Moreover, for any navigation process, a mobile needs certain amount of power. But this heats up the phone. Unlike the OnePlus 3T, the Google Pixel XL cannot convert the heat, which keeps building up.

The Google Pixel XL starts to normalise the temperature reducing the charging speed. Moreover, the OnePlus 3T Dash charger’s inside is made of copper and nickel that ensure fast-charging without heating up the wiring system. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on top devices and gadgets.
