Nokia Australia has joined forces with Optus, offering two exclusive prices of $5000 to developers entering the Calling All Innovators competition this year.

Cash prize will be given out for the best Brain Teaser or Puzzle application and the best Mobile Forms application in the categories of Entertainment and Productivity. Optus will be offering Web and mobile advertising support to endorse the winning applications on the Ovi Store.

According to ARNnet, developers have the chance to share in a bigger prize group in addition to the local incentives. The best three global submissions in each application will be given $US30,000 as the grand prize, $US15,000 as second prize, and $US5,000 as the third prize.

All submissions will be entitled to win cash prizes spanning across the four categories based on the technology used to create the application: Eco/Being Green, Life Improved, Entertainment, and Productivity.

This phase is the third year of the competition, in which developers are entitled to create services and applications to boost the usage of mobile devices.
