The Seattle Seahawks will be adding another weapon in their offence after acquiring tight end Jimmy Graham in a trade with the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks and Saints finalised a deal on Tuesday sending Graham and a fourth round pick to Seattle in exchange for centre/guard Max Unger and a first round pick which will be acquired by the Saints.

The latest trade transaction in the National Football League, or NFL, was confirmed on Twitter by Jay Glazer, NFL Insider for Fox Sports.

Seattle will be acquiring Graham, who has played with the Saints from 2010 to 2014 and has made the NFL Pro Bowl three times in his career in 2011, 2013 and 2014. He’s also a member of the NFL All-Pro First Team in 2013. By dealing away their first-rounder in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Seahawks will not be picking in the first round for the third straight year.

Unger, who was Seattle’s second round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, has played with the Seahawks from 2009 to 2014 and helped the team to win Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 and two NFC titles in 2013 and 2014. Unger is a two time NFL Pro Bowl member in 2012 and 2013 and also made the NFL All-Pro First Team in 2012. The Saints ranked 27th overall in average passing yards at 203.1 yards per game in the 2014 season while the Saints ranked 25th at 251.2 yards per game in passing defence and 29th at 132.8 yards per game in rushing defence.

In five seasons in New Orleans, Graham registered two 1,200-plus receiving yards seasons with a total of 51 touchdowns in his career. Unger has been a constant in Seattle’s starting offensive line the past four seasons.
