Twitter was abuzz about Neil Armstrong's death on Aug 27, 2013. Many people started to question what they know, that Neil Armstrong died a year ago. So if he died Aug 27, 2013, apparently he was alive since Aug 25, 2012 when people thought he died. Wait, What? Confusing right?

Blame the confusion to ABC News. Because of a technical glitch, ABC News cover about the legendary astronaut's death a year ago was posted again with a new timestamp, leading many to believe that the famous astronaut only died today. Good thing ABC News was quick to address the issue, especially since may reports were already cropping up to claim that the confusion was all a hoax. Nope, no fraud here, just some computer mishap. This is what happens when we let technology run our lives, we believe things, even those quite unbelievable.

If everything still seems confusing to you, read the note below from ABC News to understand better:

Editor's Note: This article was written and published on Aug 25, 2012, the day Neil Armstrong died, and was updated this week with a new video to commemorate the anniversary of Armstrong's death. This update changed the time stamp on our mobile site, causing some to share the story on social media thinking we had published news of Armstrong's death today. We regret the confusion caused by the updated time stamp.
