Melissa Joan Hart Flaunts Bikini Body After Turning 39: 'I Feel Proud'

Melissa Joan Hart is happy she shed of 40 pounds. She revealed she lost all that weight last year and now she is just happy that she is able to wear a bikini again, even at her 30s and with three children.

E Online reports that Hart managed to lose all the weight she piled on when she was pregnant in 2012 and she considers this as a very big achievement. The actress shared that she gained 60 pounds when pregnant and no matter how positive she is, she said all that excess weight bogged down on her, physically and mentally. She said it was an uncomfortable feeling to be overweight. Nothing fits right, you have to be careful what you wear, how you hide and that kinda thing so, being able to take off layers or put on a size jean that's a size smaller is so refreshing and it just makes it easier just to move through life, you know," she explained.

The star added that becoming fitter made being a mom to her kids easier too because she does not strain herself too much when she chases after her children. She also has the energy to play with them more. She would run after them and still have all the energy. In general, she said becoming fitter and staying that way became so important to me because she saw it allowed her to do what she wants to do.

Apart from being more energetic and healthier, losing all the weight also boosted her confidence. It made her feel happier to look better, especially for her husband. "It made me feel physically and emotionally lighter to be able to do the things I wanna do, to be able to wear the clothes I wanna wear, to be able to feel sexy around my husband again," Hart further added. Being able to lose the weight makes her proud of herself too.

The “Sabrina the Teenage Witch" star just turned 39 had her sitcom “Melissa and Joey” cancelled last month. The show would run its fourth and finale season on August.
