Janet Jackson officially announced that she'll be debuting new music and will have a world tour this year on Friday. The pop star made her announcement through Vimeo.

Janet Jackson announced her new music and 2015 world tour before she celebrated her 49th birtday. She said, "I promised you’d hear it from my lips and now you will. This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going."
According to ET Online (Entertainment Tonight), Jackson's confirmation of new album came less than one year after the 25th anniversary "Rhythm Nation 1814" album. Her last studio album was released in 2008 which titled "Discipline." Since her latest album released in 2008, her fans were wondering when she will be releasing a new one.
One fan of Jackson tweeted an image which apparently looks like a flyer of a missing person with a caption "ONE RETWEET COULD HELP BRING HER HOME! RT RT RT!"
The tweet went viral not only on Twitter but also on Facebook. E Online reports that the fan-made poster was retweeted more than 300 times. There was a fan who tweeted, "I'm also craving Janet Jackson's return." Days later, the pop artist posted her first 2015 tweet which reads, "Letting go doesn't mean you stop,"
About the date of release, according to Hip Hop Vibe that there won't be a record release from Jackson this summer. The source obtained an image of list of album release dates in which the "Together Again" hitmaker is signed to Atlantic records which is set for July 10. Other stars who are signed in Atlantic records are Waka Flocka, iLoveMakonnen, Flame and Meek Mill.
