In this week’s episode of “Jane The Virgin,” Jane discovers that she has been hired to write her father’s death scene in his telenovela. Her boyfriend Rafael is devastated to learn that his father might actually be the notorious criminal “Sin Rostro” and Petra comes face to face with her worst nightmare.

Jane has accepted a job as a writing intern in her father’s telenovela in the previous episode. She has now been given the task of writing an episode, but is devastated to learn that her father’s character is meant to die in the final scene. She discovers that the writing staff and the rest of the crew have been complaining about his behaviour. His demand to shoot the telenovela in Miami to be closer to Jane has also been costing the production company a lot of money in overtime payments. Jane persuades Rogelio to apologise to try to get his job back but they discover that Dina, the head writer has made up her mind. She and Nicholas, Rogelio’s assistant are lovers and have been plotting to remove him for a long time. In fact, the whole thing is being masterminded by Nicholas who lied for months to turn the entire staff against Rogelio. Xiomara convinces Rogelio to let it go and think of his possible new career as a movie star. Rogelio tells Jane to write the script anyway. She gives it all she’s got and writes him a phenomenal exit scene.

Back at the hotel, Petra is forced to keep doing her job as the Marbella’s event coordinator or else she won’t get her pay check from Rafael, Her ex-boyfriend Milos shows up and Petra is completely terrified. She escaped the Czech Republic after he threw acid at her which unfortunately hit her mother. She has been hiding for years using her new identity. Milos tells her that he never meant to attack her and always meant the acid for her mother. Milos told her that her mother has always been lying to her to keep them apart. Milos pretends to hold Petra hostage and forces Magda to stand up from her wheelchair. Petra discovers that her mother has been pretending to be an invalid to manipulate her for years.

Meanwhile, Jane’s boyfriend Rafael is dealing with his own daddy issues. He and his step mother Rose are trying to find out who Sin Rostro is and what his connection is to their hotel. Rose suspects Emlio, her husband and Rafael’s father is actually Sin Rostro. Rafael is suspicious but still refuses to believe that his father has something to do with the criminal activities and recent murders in the hotel. Rose is agitated because Emilio has asked her to go on a trip so she pressures Rafael to find answers. Rafael speaks to his sister Luisa and when Luisa learns about the criminal activities in the hotel, she tries to tell Rose that she thinks her father might be Sin Rostro. Rafael intercepts the letter and is devastated to learn that his father might be a notorious criminal. Meanwhile, Rose and Emilio are planning their romantic getaway when Rose decides to make her move. She tricks Emilio and traps him in a pit where she buries him in fresh concrete. Rose is eventually revealed to be Sin Rostro, not Emilio.
