An iPhone is usually least expected to be seen on a construction site but a Sydney builder is on tenterhooks to change that with the built-for-purpose Tradie's App.

The owner of the David Campbell Building is investing on an application to help builders become well-organized on and off the building site. He has bespoke the development of the Tradie's App, which is a wide collection of pricing, purchase orders, site diaries, and subcontractor agreements to be used by licensed builders and foremen.

Campbell has promised that the application gives builders everything needed to run a project on budget and on time, including making clients sign for agreed alternatives without delay.

The owner should know well as he has been testing it for the past six months on his luxury home projects. A number of his staffs own an iPhone with the Tradie's App, which they frequently use for their jobs managing and sending out reports to the boss in the office.

Campbell is no more an alien to technology. He has a web page that makes use of videos, podcast subscriptions and slideshows to display some of his company's work. The application is his modern way to try to get the most out of it.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the application has been downloaded by builders in Australia, some in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and five in the United States.
