iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 release date will happen soon as new deals and discounts on previous iPads have emerged.

Retailer H.H. Gregg offered iPad specials, including the 16 GB iPad Air with Wi-Fi only. The tablet now costs $459.99 from its original price of $499.99. The $40 discount also applied to other storage variants of the iPad Air. Consumers can take home the 32 GB and 64 GB versions for $559 and $659.99, respectively.

The retailer also offered discounts on the original iPad Mini by knocking off $20 from its normal price. The 16 GB version of the 2012 iPad Mini now costs $279.99 from $299.99.

Best Buy also offered a $100 discount on the Wi-Fi and cellular versions of iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display. Wi-Fi and cellular variant of iPad Mini with Retina display now costs $429.99 compared to its regular price of $529.99. Meanwhile, the same discount also applies to iPad Air Wi-Fi + cellular model, which now costs $529.99 from $629.99.

But the discount comes with a two-year contract agreement with a carrier - Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. Also, consumers can choose among all of the colors available but the 16 GB variant was only available in the offer.

Consumers who wanted to save more may also check the Apple Store for refurbished iPads, which are as good as brand new tablets. The price of refurbished tablets can go down as low as $420 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi only iPad Air and $510 for 32 GB variant.

According to KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPad Air 2 release date will take place later this year. Thus, delaying iPad Pro launch early next year.

Kuo also said in his note to investors there will be no successor for iPad Mini this year and the miniature tablet will arrive as early as 2015.
