Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC seemed to have dropped hints of the imminent release of the miniature version of its most popular smartphone, HTC One.

HTC teased everyone by disclosing few details about HTC One Mini that came by way of a leak that included both images and details of the specs. As of now though, it looks like HTC is getting closer to coming forward with an official announcement.

The post came by way of the official HTC company blog without specifically naming the HTC One Mini, the post did offer what seems to be a clear hint. However, the content of that post read as follows;

"The HTC One, by many accounts, is the pinnacle of smartphone achievement. The beautiful metal design, powerful hardware, and innovative user experience pack a lot into a svelte package, making it hit with critics and consumers alike. This success has only boosted our passion to bring the One experience to as many people as possible.

In that spirit, here's an homage to little things that back a big punch.

Can you think of anything else that packs a big punch into a small package?"

The blog post may signal the impending debut of the smaller HTC One. The company also published a large infographic does not explicitly name the upcoming smartphone.

HTC did something similar prior to the release of the HTC One; that time an infographic appeared two weeks before the official introduction of the flagship device. Considering the recent spate of leaks and sightings, we might only infer that the smaller handset is on the horizon.

If rumours proved to be true, HTC One Mini will have a head-on battle with Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and the rumoured low cost iPhone.

HTC One Mini is rumoured to feature a 4.3-inch 1,280x720-pixel display, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and 4-megapixel Ultrapixel camera. Keeping in line with the HTC One experience, we should also anticipate Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 5 UI for the smaller iteration.
