‘Halo Wars 2’ Ultimate Edition, ‘Halo Wars 1’ Definitive Edition update: New villain Atriox looks unbeatable, new trailer reveals

Fans who pre-order “Halo Wars 2” Ultimate Edition will be receiving an early access to the first game’s Definitive edition on Dec. 20. A new trailer has been released and it focuses on the new bad guy Atriox. Dan Ayoub of 343 Industries has stated at The Games Awards 2016 that some players will receive their “Halo Wars 1” Definitive Edition this month.

“Halo Wars 2” has been delayed and now it will launch in February 2017 on PC and Xbox One. However, a beta version of the game will be released before the final launch where players will be able to play the game and get a taste of it, reports Game Spot.

“Halo Wars 2” players now have a new enemy to fight and it’s none other than The Banished led by Atriox. The Banished is a group of ex-Covenant aliens. This is great news for players as they have not been able to fight a deadly villain for a long time now. The trailer suggests that Atriox will give a real hard time to players.

Moreover, as fans will have access to “Halo Wars 2” Ultimate Edition from Dec. 20, they have two months to practice and gear up for the final release in February 2017. The Definitive Edition is basically a remaster of the original “Halo Wars.” It will consist of updated controls, visuals and all the DLC content, reports Games Radar.

“Halo Wars 2” has been developed keeping eSports in mind as that’s in demand currently. Developers have provided the game with tools to make it an eSports game.

“When we look at the modes, we just natively go to Blitz. A deathmatch mode can last easily two hours, and that can be a little tricky from a viewing perspective, whereas we’ve seen Blitz matches end in as little as four minutes, which kind of lets you do a few interesting things,” Ayoud told Redbull.
