The much-anticipated release of "Heists" DLC for "GTA V Online" is finally happening. Rockstar Games recently addressed the content's launch on its newswire.

After the long wait, Rockstar Games has finally confirmed the release of "Heists" for "GTA V Online." On its newswire, Rockstar claims the content will be available for all consoles.

"We know you're all excited for more Updates to come and we've got some really exciting stuff in the works to continue adding to, expanding, and evolving the world of Grand Theft Auto Online - including the highly anticipated launch of Online Heists which will be available for all four consoles as the first GTA Online Update to happen after the game launches on PS4 and Xbox One," Rockstar announced.

However, no specific date was provided on the release although Rockstar assures more details will come "very soon." Regardless, taking queue from the developer's statement that "Heists" will be available following the next-gen version release, it's safe to assume the DLC will be available sometime after Nov. 18. The latter is the expected international release date for the PS4 and Xbox One version of "GTA V."

Another much-anticipated update outside of "Heists" is the single-player DLC. It's believed the download will also be available following the launch of the next-gen version of "GTA V."

According to iDigitalTimes French site Gameblog and YouTube user CVG started the rumour mill on the release of the single player DLC. Additionally, Gamersftw claims a Rockstar representative hinted of the release.

The DLC will supposedly be featured as a large chunk of file that offers new contents to gamers. These contents include new characters aside from the iconic Trevor and outside of the other main characters in "GTA V," Franklin and Michael. The said single player DLC is even likened to be on the level of two previous downloadable contents for "Grand Theft Auto IV," "The Lost and the Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony." With these two campaigns in mind, it's believed the DLC's campaign could also last "somewhere between 12 and 20 hours."

As exciting as this may sound, the big question of its release date remains. Per iDigitalTimes it's safe to assume the new DLC will be released after Jan. 27, following the launch of "GTA V" for the PC. Likewise, Gamersftw claims the content will likely be available in Summer/Fall 2015. However, it's still uncertain if the supposed release of the single player DLC will be available to all consoles. Rockstar Games have so far only confirmed "Heists" for "GTA V Online" as the recent update available to all consoles.
