Box debuted new apps for the iPhone and iPad, promising for a faster, more responsive and still secure iOS experience. The cloud-storage service entices users to try the new apps by offering 50 GB of free storage with every download within the next 30 days. Box has enhanced the design of apps to focus more on the content, according to David Still, Box's head of mobile.

The new iteration of Box for iOS has a set of new features, including real-time search, redesigned UI, new document preview experience and more. Find the complete list here:

- Fully rewritten app

- Redesigned UI with new navigation

- Faster photo loading and document rendering

- New preview experience for photos, videos and documents

- Real-time search for files and within files

- Better controls and sharing

- Bookmarks, AirPrint and saving videos from Box to your library in future releases

For those who already have the Box app and want to claim the offer, they have to log out first and log in again. According to its terms, Box said the offer is not cumulative. It means if you have storage with less than 50 GB, you will be upgraded to a 50 GB account but if you have storage above 50 GB, you won't see any difference.

In addition to boasting of faster apps and encourage the use of Box's app store, the new iOS apps will feature a menu of recommended apps for every file as well. Box has already commented about the importance of focusing on content and addressed the need for more consumer-friendly enterprise software.

Box continues to find ways to improve how people collaborate with each other on post-PC devices and how they engage with their content. Box for iPad and iPhone is a significant foundation for mobile platforms as it continues to invest in bringing simplicity, speed and amazing content interfaces to the Windows Phone and Windows 8, Android and other mobile Web products.

Like many enterprise companies, Box knows that people who start using its service for personal purposes will help bring its service into the workplace soon. The company is adept at the "bring your own device" trend where companies allow employees to use their own devices to the company network.
