People were either thrilled or confused with Facebook's new features coinciding with Google+ launch of its own new features.

Last Sept. 20, Facebook announced that it would incur new features and designs on the site. One of the new features is the "Top Stories," which will present interesting stories by the time that you visit.

Another feature is Ticker, which allows you to be updated on your friends' activities. It is like a notification box that allows you to reply instantly to posts. Finally, the subscribe button made Facebook like Twitter and Google+.

Google's newly-introduced social media also made some changes on the site. Google put emphasis on privacy like sharing media to certain groups. Moreover, Google+ has Hangouts, which is a video chat service.

Now, Hangouts is also available on mobile phones and allows users to broadcast. It can also work on Google Docs and Sketchpad. Google+ also added search functions to allow users to search for more people and networks.

Despite the newly-added features, Google+ is still in beta phase. Google already made almost a hundred changes to improve its service.
