The new year signals in yet another year in gaming and the top companies leading fray are already enticing fans with their upcoming lineup of console exclusives. Sony Entertainment Corporation Europe released a video showcasing the PlayStation 4 exclusives of this year and Microsoft answered back with a similar reveal video by Xbox UK.

Xbox UK recently released a video of the upcoming titles for the Xbox One for 2016 and beyond. The video was led by Social Marketing Manager Graeme Boyd, and the team showed of a balance of both exclusive and multiplatform games coming to the Xbox One in the future.

As for Xbox One exclusives, Microsoft is looking to release the action game, “Scalebound” this year. The game looks visually stunning and its gameplay is something worth noting as well. The game lets players partner up with a huge dragon during combat that allows for some unique battle mechanics.

Another much awaited Xbox One exclusive is “Quantum Break.” The game was first revealed in 2013 and has seen a couple of delays eversince. “Quantum Break” features the gameplay mechanics found in today’s third-person shooters, but it also features another gameplay feature in which players are treated to a video, making pivotal choices along the way.

Another anticipated Xbox One exclusive is “Gears of War 4.” There’s a huge gap between the release of “Gears of Wars 3” and the upcoming title. A gameplay demo was revealed at E3 2015 and the game feels similar to its predecessors so fans should be on the lookout for this game.

As for multiplatform games, there are a lot of titles scheduled to be released for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year. One of which is the much-anticipated “Dishonored 2” by Bethesda. Other upcoming titles include “Tom Clancy’s The Division,” “Mirror’s Edge 2,” and “Mass Effect Andromeda.”
