On Monday, Ceragon announced that an electricity distribution company in Queensland, known as Ergon Energy Corporation Limited, is organizing Ceragon's advanced FibeAir solutions in a high-capacity microwave/fibre hybrid network with a leg on each side of great parts of Queensland, Australia.

According to TMCnet, Ceragon stated that for the first two phases of the project, the equipment orders are valued at more than USD1.0 million in profits.

The FibeAir platforms of Ceragon, which includes FibeAir IP-10, FibeAir 1500R and FibeAir 3200T all-indoor solution, are anticipated to help Ergon Energy in enhancing the functionality and capacity of the network's wireless portion.

The Ceragon solutions will also enable applications like network protection switching, high-speed communication across multiple sites, storage and disaster recovery and metering and intelligent monitoring.

One of Ceragon's distributors in Australia known as ATI Australia carried out the project's design and supply of microwave equipment.
