Chris Brown cancelled his Manila concert on New Year's Eve supposedly because of his lost passport. However, a new report is claiming that the singer purposely did not fly to the Philippines and give his fans the chance to count down to New Year with him because of Karrueche Tran.

Hollywood Life reports that Chris Brown found it easy to just turn down his obligations to Manila concert organizers and fans because he has gotten back with Karrueche Tran. "No disrespect to his fans out there, but once he and Karrueche got back together over Christmas, Chris knew he wasn't going to be able to make that venue," a source close to the singer shared to the Entertainment site. Karrueche Tran urged him to go because of the contract he signed, but Chris Brown told her he does not care anymore. He then told her that, "some things mean more to me than money and my career and that's you." He told her it is her that he wants to spend New Year's Eve with and that is what he is going to do, no matter what. The source added that the singer is adamant that he gets to spend New Year's Eve with Karrueche Tran because they have a lot to work out on, especially with the rough patches they had to go through last year. The source further said that Chris Brown had more downs than ups last year and because of this, he wanted to "bring in New Year right with Karrueche," the person he feels who held him down for the longest time.

Instead of giving the "true" reason however to the organisers in the Philippines, Chris Brown just tweeted the organizers with the curt reason that he has some "unforeseen circumstances" and therefore needed to cancel. Later, he also tweeted that he lost his passport.

Interestingly, on the report of Hollywood Life, a commenter by the name of "Christian Romano" claimed that he is one of the organizers and expressed how displeased he was over Chris Brown's sudden decision to cancel his Manila appearance. Moreover, he was pissed over the fact that the singer allegedly did not return the talent fee paid him. The commenter said that Chris Brown received $1,000,000 from the organizers so he thinks what Chris said about not caring about the money is untrue. A Philippine News Publication, the Inquirer, also reported that a source shared that Chris seemed not incllned to return his talent fee and the organizer, Maligaya Development Corp. is thinking of suing the artist.

According to MTV, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran are better than ever, probably because they want a fresh start for the new year. Their latest Instagram videos showed them both having fun at a trampoline and foam-pit filled location.
