Bobbi Kristina Brown may not recover from brain damage anymore, her grandmother shares. The grandmother said in a statement that the only daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston may live in such a state for a lifetime.

In a statement released on Monday after she visited her granddaughter, grandma Cissy Houston said that while Bobbi K is no longer in a medically induced coma, she is still not responsive. In addition, her talks with the doctors made her see that her granddaughter would not live a functional life again. "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me," Houston said. "We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time,” she added.

This report matches the insider’s account of Bobbi Kristina’s condition as reported by CNN. According to the insider, contrary to what Bobby Brown said of her daughter during his concert, the young celebrity is not awake. The source detailed that Bobbi is still on the same neurological state that she has been for the past 12 weeks. She does not respond to anyone, visitors or family. She also still has a tracheotomy in her throat.

Bobby, however, raised the hopes of many when he shared in his concert that Bobbi is “awake” and “watching him.” His lawyer later confirmed the statement, even though the lawyer clarified that rehabilitation would be a long and hard process and that Bobbi’s future would be uncertain. Bobby’s current wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, also said that Bobbi K. already made it out of the ICU and they saw her eyes opened.

On January 31, Bobbi was found by Nick Gordon unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta residence. She was put into a coma in early February. Police are still investigating the incident and treating the case as a criminal one. Gordon is also being investigated.

Many are saddened with what is happening to Bobbi K. because her mom, legendary Whitney Houston, was also found in the same fashion in 2013, in a bathtub and unresponsive. A coroner ruled the death as “accidental drowning,” citing heart attack and overdose on cocaine as stimulating factors.
