The Apple iPhone 6s and Huawei Nexus 6P have been in the news for all the right reasons. But there’s been a lot of hype surrounding Huawei’s pioneering camera used in its Android phone. So, we decided to compare it with the coveted iPhone 6s’ camera to find out if there’s a winner.

The resolution of both phones' cameras are almost similar with the Nexus 6P having a 12.3MP snapper while the Apple iPhone 6s has a 12MP camera. While the former smartphone has a bigger camera sensor size at 1.55 µm pixels, the latter features 12 µm pixels sensor size.

Both have similar optical image stabilization, a mechanism helpful in stabilizing any image or video by synching the optical path to the sensor. Differences in image quality are visible in low light, however, with the Nexus 6P rendering more lucid details with fewer red streaks than the Apple 6s, says Gizmag.

Many comment that pictures taken by the iPhone 6s sometimes look dull, but the camera can reproduce real-life colours unlike the Nexus 6P that may produce vibrant photos but the actual colours are corrupted, reports The Indian Express.

When it comes to taking pictures in low light, the Nexus 6P nails it with stunning photographs, whereas the iPhone 6s fails in the dark.

But for those with an eye for subtle details, the Nexus 6P wins the race. The Nexus phone is packed with a quick-launch shortcut that activates the camera by gently tapping on the option shown on the display. Thus, the Nexus 6P comes to life in just three seconds.

Indeed, the Nexus 6P blows past the iPhone 6s when it comes to selecting a camera that’s perfect. It costs you US$499 (AU$692), a pretty accommodating price tag for a smart camera, as against the $649 (AU$899) price for the iPhone 6s.
