‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ PC System Requirements Revealed By Nvidia

Few would deny that “Batman: Arkham Knight” is a drop-dead gorgeous game, but it appears those pretty looks come at a significant cost. New details revealed by Nvidia indicate that gamers with older PCs might struggle to run the game.

The system requirements for “Batman: Arkham Knight” were posted on the official Geforce website and show that even on minimum settings, the game will require a Geforce GTX 660 class card in order to run. Because the news comes from Nvidia, they are card-specific, and no information on AMD card system requirements has been made available.

As noted by Arkhamverse, Rocksteady has partnered with Nvidia for every iteration of the “Arkham” games, meaning the game’s typically run better on Nvidia cards. Gamers with AMD cards will likely need to keep this in mind and will also miss out on a number of Nvidia-specific effects and optimisations.

“The team at Rocksteady Studios is continuing work on the epic finale to its ‘Batman: Arkham’ trilogy. As with our previous games, we are collaborating with Nvidia to deliver an immersive PC experience by integrating Turbulence, Environmental PhyX, Volumetric Lights, FaceWorks and Rain Effects,” said Ben Wyatt, technical director of Rocksteady.

While the minimum system requirements are fairly steep, those who intend to turn on all the bells and whistles and witness “Batman Arkham Knight” at the peak of its graphical splendour will need a truly high-end CPU and a GeForce GTX 980, one of the most powerful single GPU cards in existence.
