Apple is set to launch the iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch with 1600 x 900 resolution and 386 pixel per inch (ppi) and 5.7-inch with 1920 x 1080 and 401 pixel per inch screen, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, iWatch with 1.3-inch or 1.63-inch flexible AMOLED display, Retina MacBook Air and 55-inch and 65-inch TV sets in 2014.

Other rumors include that Apple may release the following new devices: the iPad with 12.9-inch screen with 2732 x 2048 resolution and 265 ppi later in 2014. If this rumor is true, the new iPad can compete and even surpass the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro with 12.2-inch screen and 2560 x 1600 resolution with 247 ppi.

Some called it the iPad Pro. With a bigger display than the iPad Air, it might be the primary distinctive feature of the iPad Pro. Also, with its 12.9-inch display, it puts at around the same display size as the 13-inch MacBooks. It would also allow for a clear distinction among the three iPad models: 7.9-inch iPad Mini, 9.7-inch iPad Air and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Apple's new Touch ID fingerprint detection was introduced on the iPhone 5S. It was not included in the iPad Air. This is perhaps to reserve the feature for the debut of the iPad Pro. It is expected that Touch ID will be in almost all iOS devices in the future.

Although the iPad Pro might not be a hybrid computer, it doesn't have to scrap off a physical keyboard altogether. Fans would also like for the iPad Pro to expand beyond its lightning connector and offer a fully functional USB or thunderbolt port. This would allow many options like directly connecting to an external drive and accessing peripherals such as portable printers and scanners. While there are many situations when an iPad functions better than a MacBook, the iPad can't still compete with a Mac Pro's raw power until it can run Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, BBEdit, Photoshop CS and Terminal.

Apple could also release an iWatch with 1.3-inch or 1.63-inch flexible AMOLED display for men and women, respectively. If these speculations are accurate, then 2014 must be an exciting year for the tech world.
