Amazon France just posted a product listing for a Grand Theft Auto 5 PC version, suggesting Rockstar's widely popular open-world game is finally coming to the platform. A GTA 5 PC version remains unannounced officially and Rockstar is still unavailable to comment about this. Amazon France has a reputation of spilling details on new, unannounced retail products. The Web site was responsible for giving the first details on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 as well as software sets for Ratchet and Clank, Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia as well as Team Ico games Shadow of the Colossus and Ico.

The GTA V PC version is now available for pre-order on Amazon France. The platform requires Windows XP or Vista or 7. There were rumours of an upcoming GTA V PC release date after a video clip of what seems to be the PC version was leaked online. The video was posted on YouTube but was quickly removed with YouTube claiming a copyright infringement from Take-Two Interactive, the New York publisher that owns Rockstar Games.

GTA 5 is widely anticipated to come to PC in 2014. In October 2013, several Eurogamer sources said GTA 5 would be launched for PC in the first months of 2014, while an Intel representative has also said that GTA 5 is not expected to be exclusive to consoles any much longer. 2008's Grand Theft Auto 4 launched in April for consoles before landing to PC in December of the same year.

While there has been no official confirmation of a GTA 5 PC version, the successful launch of the title in 2013 yielded $1 billion in sales in only three days and there is no doubt that it is only a matter of time before Rockstar releases the PC version, making the title available to other users.

An online petition clamouring for a PC version of the GTA 5 recently garnered 650,000 signatures, making it one of the biggest petitions ever hosted on Change.org. If GTA 5 comes to PC, it may not be the only new platform for the title. According to rumours, the game will also be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014.
