The situation heats up on the show after Billy and Travis end up in a prison cell in this Monday’s episode.

On Monday, October 10, Jill Atkinson (Jess Walton) will go to the police station where Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Travis Crawford (Michael Roark) are kept in a cell and will ask Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) what has to be done to make all this go away. Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) will record in secret Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as she comments on Billy and Travis being in Jail.

Soaps She Knows writes that Steve Burton has suddenly announced that he will be leaving “The Young and the Restless” when his contract with the show will expire at the end of the year. He emphasizes in a series of tweets that he spent a lot of time reflecting until ultimately, he was able to decide that this decision would be the best to do. He also adds that he could not say enough about the awesome cast and crew of the show. He finishes off with an expression of his gratitude to CBS as well as to the fans for their unending support.

Now that Burton is out, it only means that there is a lot that is expected to happen to his character anytime now. The timing is actually perfect since the show is already at the verge of the big reveal about Sully’s background and such should provide a backdrop for an awesome exit for Dylan. Lately, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) has been struggling to keep the truth from spilling out. How the show plans to start cooking up Dylan’s exit can only be seen as events unfold in the show.

“The Young and the Restless” airs on CBS every Monday to Friday in the US. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
