Xiaomi has officially announced its biggest smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Max. It comes with a large screen, midrange features and affordable pricing.

The Xiaomi Mi Max measures 173.1 x 88.3 mm. Its weight is 203 grams and its thickness is 7.5 mm. The Mi Max that features a full metal design that comes in color options like black, white and gold.

The Mi Max has a huge display of 6.44 inches. It supports full HD resolution along with a pixel count of 342 ppi and it offers a screen-to-body ratio of 74.8 percent. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

The lowest configuration variant of Mi Max is powered by Snapdragon 650 chipset and it features 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The Snapdragon 652 powered Xiaomi Mi Max that has 64 GB of internal storage features 3 GB of RAM. The highest configuration model is also powered by Snapdragon 652 chipset. It features 128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM.

All the three editions of Xiaomi Mi Max feature a memory card slot that supports up to 200 GB of microSD card. It is the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with MIUI 8 software that is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The 16 MP rear camera comes with features like dual-LED flash, autofocus, and full HD video recording. It also features a selfie snapper of 5 MP. The other features of the Mi Maxx include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, v4.2 Bluetooth, v2.0 microUSB, fingerprint reader, GPS and more.

It is packed with a humungous battery of 4850 mAh capacity that carries support for fast charging. The 32 GB and 64 GB models of Xiaomi Mi Max cost Yuan 1,499 (AU$313) and Yuan 1,699 (AU$354). The 128 GB model is priced at Yuan 1,999 (AU$417).
