Microsoft has released a new build for its Xbox One System Software Update. And Preview Program members will be able to access the new version, dubbed rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160824-1140.

Spotted by DualShockers, the new update will bring Cortana to more areas, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Fans in these areas will just need to activate Cortana in their respective Settings function and agree with the terms to enable the new feature.

Cortana can be launched on the Xbox One either from the My games & apps or from the Guide function. Players can still opt out of using the new Cortana feature to go back to the Xbox legacy voice commands.

The Xbox One System Software update is also bringing two new fixes. The bug that causes game trials to be available for more or less of the intended amount of time has been fixed. Also, there won’t be any more issues that cause system updates to fail while being applied.

Non-Xbox One Preview Program members can still look forward to a new update, this time to the list of backward compatible games. Following quickly in the wake of “Call of Duty 2.” Xbox One players will once again get another Xbox 360 game playable on their Xbox One.

Major Nelson announced via his Twitter that “Joust,” a classic 1982 arcade game can be playable on the newer Xbox console for those who have a copy of the original game. The game is a simple arcade title, where players will have to control a lance-wielding knight who rides a flying ostrich.

If that already feels like a challenge, wait until the added factor of defeating several waves of enemies occur. “Joust” can also be played using at wo-player support for both online and local gameplay experience.

This is a great way for players to take advantage of the Xbox One backward-compatible feature. As far as reviews go, “Call of Duty 2” on Xbox One has seen a massive improvement in graphics, making it worth another run on the current-gen console once more.
