“X-Men” actor Hugh Jackman and “Corelli” star Deborra-Lee Furness are six months away from celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. The two Australian actors are now based in New York, but they were recently spotted in Sydney.

On Oct. 24, Jackman and Furness were seen holding hands while doing some shopping in Sydney, Just Jared reported. The two, who are parents to two adopted children, were said to be visiting their family and friends in their native country.

Jackman and Furness got married at a suburb of Melbourne, St. John’s in Toorak, Victoria on April 11, 1996. A year before their wedding, they met on the set of the ABC TV series “Correlli,” in which Furness played the title role.

Before visiting Australia with Furness, Jackman stopped in Los Angeles to talk about his film “Pan” with Parade. In the interview, the “X-Men” star said “Pan” is special to him because he and the lead character in the film have one thing in common. Like Peter Pan, Jackman too was left by his mother. Jackman played Blackbeard in "Pan."

Since the film deals with adoption and orphans, the actors wanted to make sure that the movie is not something his adopted children are “going to feel weird about.”

After having two miscarriages, Furness adopted two mixed-race children with Jackman. She has since been known for her work on streamlining international adoptions and helping orphans.

According to Jackman, the society is now more sensitive to adoption. He said he wanted to make sure his adopted children do not feel uncomfortable when they watch “Pan."
