Is Season 3 really that bad that Simon Cowell reportedly is in talks with singer Rita Ora for a spot at the judges’ table next season of The X-Factor USA? We have just seen three episodes of Fox’s reality show and despite the plummeting ratings, the reality competition shows some promise as it strives to discover new talents. But why look for judges this part of the game?

Singer Rita Ora was spotted at the British mogul’s L.A. mansion on Wednesday, Sept 25. And the buzz is getting louder that SiCo is eyeing Ora to be a permanent judge for Season 4 of The X-Factor USA.

Simon may have admitted not finding the right girl as of yet, but has he also not found the right female judge to sit with him in the competition?

Rita apparently is excited about the news, anyhow.

BBC is reporting that Rita expressed how excited she is to be working with Simon.

I love Simon. I linked up with him in Los Angeles and we had a really good chat. He's a great inspiration."

"As for now I have a whole second album to record so we're going to have to see how that pans out but I'm not saying never," the singer said, according to BBC.

News of the offer to Ora for the Fox’s show have circulated on the eve of the final auditions for The X-Factor USA on third week since it premiered from Sept 11-12. And this early in the game, the show has been having so much trouble attracting audience.

The show recorded only 6.45 million audience on its premiere episode. The number even got lower when the pre-recorded show aired on second week with roughly 6 million. The figure comes as a big disappointment for the network officials and the judges, particularly Cowell, the man who introduced the show to the U.S. The numbers are even lower than the share of audience who waited to see Britney Spears on her day one on the job as judge in Season 2.

Hearing SiCo scouting for the show’s new face should not come as a big surprise, however. The soon-to-be-dad has been under fire since the start of the season of The X-Factor USA 2013 after failing to meet the expectations.

He has promised to “expect the unexpected.” Simon thought having three roses and him, the only thorn on the judges’ table could be a great move. But the numbers don’t represent these changes.

Show’s insiders insist that indeed, there are changes in store for America. They only need to get the audience interested and sit down to watch the show.
