This week’s ‘X-Factor Australia’ season 7 was painful to watch. After a grueling Five Seat Challenge, which fans labelled as cruel, only 20 contenders will advance to the show’s Super Home Visits.

For season 7, “X-Factor Australia” has revamped its Super Home Visits wherein instead of the final 20 contestants visiting the homes of the judges, the contenders will be flown in to London, Rickey.org reported. Once there, the contestants will perform for “X-Factor” creator Simon Cowell, along with other “X-Factor U.K.” judges, Rita Oro and Olly Murs.

The aspiring singers were divided into 4 categories with an “X-Factor Australia” coach assigned to each team. Coach and judge Dannii Minogue will mentor an all-girls team, who are aged below 25, according to Herald Sun. These young and talented ladies are Georgia Denton, Emelia Kelberg, Mahalia Simpson, Madison Milewski and Michaela Baranov.

New judge Chris Isaak has five boys under his tutelage and similar to Minogue, these crooners are all under the age of 25. Isaak is set to mentor Michael Duchense, Cyrus Villenueva, Andrew Lambrou, Jimmy Davis and “Big T” Tangaroa Te Tai.

The English singer and songwriter James Blunt has an interesting group of singers to look after, whose ages are all above 25. Blunt has Dan Hamill, Natalie Conway, Roshani Priddis, Louise Adams and Gazelle aka Tabitha Ojeah on his team.

As for Guy Sebastian, this “X-Factor Australia” coach has a lot of artists to mentor, given that he landed the “groups” category from the Bootcamp. The former Australian Idol has a total of 15 singers on his plate, mostly members of Paris Inc., In Stereo and The Fisher Boys. Apart from the three groups, Sebastian also has singing duos Lazy J and Big Guy, as well as Jess and Matt on his team.

Meanwhile, the franchise’s creator, Cowell, is already looking forward to meeting the top 20 from Australia’s “X-Factor.” The judge, talent scout and producer told Daily Telegraph that he has seen “a bit of swagger” coming from the reality singing competition’s Australian franchise. The “X-Factor” founder even teased that he already has his eye on one of the contestants. “I’ve seen a contestant,” he said. I’m not going to say who they are but I’ve just got a really, really good feeling.”

Cowell also remarked on the amazing performances that he has witnessed over the years. He added that these individuals possessed the talent and potential to “compete with the world.”

The next episode of “X-Factor Australia” season 7 will air on Sunday at the Seven Network.
