This week’s “X-Factor Australia” Season 7 auditions gave the judges a peek at some of the diverse and talented performers in the country. Two of these are Isaiah Fibrace and Mahalia Simpson, who received a standing ovation from the judges.

Fibrace is a fifteen-year-old boy who wowed “X-Factor Australia” judges Dannii Minogue, Guy Sebastian, James Blunt and Chris Isaak, according to Rickey.org. The young singer performed Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain” during his audition, and while the start of his performance was reportedly not really spectacular, Fibrace was able to showcase his vocal range as the song went on. The fifteen-year-old student reportedly has a good voice, solid tone and strong upper register, which made for an impressive audition that amazed the four judges.

Meanwhile, Simpson is a 22-year-old waitress and aspiring singer who moved from New Zealand to Australia to audition for the “X-Factor Australia,” the Daily Telegraph reports. Simpson reportedly travelled with only her guitar as well as a bag of clothes and settled in Brisbane before moving to Sydney.

Simpson also shared that music is her way of expressing herself. The shy singer told the Telegraph that she’s “very sensitive” and “always cared a lot of what people think about [her].” Simpson added, “I came into the competition because I knew it was going to be personal growth for me and I would learn a lot out of it.”

For Simpson’s audition piece, the aspiring singer chose “Like a Star” by Corinne Bailey Rae. Rickey.org described her performance as “downright magical” and “delightfully surprising,” given Simpson’s shy personality. The judges were captivated by her voice, particularly Sebastian, who reportedly looked stunned during Simpson’s audition.

Sebastian even threw his pen in the air and remarked, “What a voice,” according to NZHerald.co.nz. Blunt was similarly impressed and agreed with Sebastian’s comment. "Great voice," he replied. The other judges also praised Simpson for her unique singing talent.

Meanwhile, auditions for the “X-Factor Australia” Season 7 has already finished. Up next on the reality singing show would be the competition’s boot camp.

The next episode of “X-Factor Australia” Aeason 7 will air on Sunday, Sept. 20. at 7 p.m.
