Sunday marked the premiere of “X-Factor Australia” Season 7, with some stunning performances that touched the audience’s heart, and a few contestants also received standing ovation from the judges. And the viewers also got to see chemistry between the old and new members of the “X-Factor Australia” panel.

The Season 7 of “X-Factor” Australia featured two new additions to the panel of judges, James Blunt and Chris Isaak, who replaced Redfoo and Ronan Keating. These two singers joined veteran “X-Factor Australia” judges Guy Sebastian and Dannii Minogue.

There was much apprehension that Blunt, Isaak and Sebastian would come to blows during the show, but the three gentlemen looked like were getting along in Episode 1, according to The Sydney Morning Herald . The premiere episode, however, was not short of drama, as some contestants received blunt remarks from judges, especially Blunt, after their performance.

U.K. singer and new panel member, Blunt, even earned himself a new hashtag on Twitter after his blunt remarks on “X-Factor Australia” Season 7. The official Twitter account of the show asked, “Was #BluntBeingBlunt your favourite moment of last night's #xfactorau?” A short clip which showed his “blunt” moment was also included with this Twitter post.

Twitter user ‏@GaynorLeighShor said on Twiter, “please be respectful of all.” There were also some fans who appreciated the judge's bluntness. A fan with the Twitter handle @Xtina_g19 said she loved the show and found Blunt’s blunt comments “so funny.”

Meanwhile, some of the performances on Sunday were mainly from professionals and contestants who had performed on other reality shows, news.com.au reported. Natalie Conway was one of them. Her song “Move Me” reportedly reached the fourth spot at ARIA Club Charts.

In addition to Conway, Adrian Espulso, who finished eighth on “I Will Survive;” and “The Voice Kids” standouts Ethan Karpathy, Chris Lanzon and Maddison Milewski, too performed in the premeire episode of “X-Factor Australia.” For Season 7, the three “The Voice Kids” alums teamed up to form a new boy band named “In Stereo,” which gave one of the amazing performances on Sunday night.

Aside from “In Stereo,” Big T, a railroad worker, also surprised and wowed the judges with his rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Signed Sealed Delivered.” The other impressive and touching performances included that of 15-year-old Maddison Milewski, who gave a powerful performance of Sia’s “Elastic Heart,” and shark attack survivor Lisa Mondy’s, who gave a flawless rendition of “Strong.” The four judges gave Milewski a standing ovation.
