‘X Factor Australia’ 2015 Winner: Cyrus Villanueva in 5 of best numbers [Watch Videos]

Filipino-Australian artist Cyrus Villanueva was named the winner of “X-Factor Australia” 2015 on Tuesday night.

Villanueva has been the fan favourite on the competition, earning the highest number of votes on the finale. After weeks of battling out his contenders for the crown, the 19-year-old singer gave his best performance for the last time with his rendition of The Weeknd’s “Earned It.” He sang the same song to impress the judges of the show during his audition.

Given the chance to sing two more songs, the artist showed off his strong vocals with “Jealous” and “Stone.” Since he won, “Stone” will be Villanueva’s debut single under Sony Music Australia.

He has proven himself to be the victor of the competition, and he’s now headed to kick off his music career with Sony Music Australia. On Twitter, the singer thanked his fans for supporting him all throughout his journey on ‘X-Factor Australia.”

“I never thought I would have made it this far - through the ups and the downs! THANK YOU!” he wrote.

The Fil-Aussie artist bested his fellow artist, Louise Adams, who won runner-up, and singing duo Jess & Matt, who finished at the third spot.
