The injury to Roman Reigns, the unavailability of current heavyweight champion Brock "The Beast Incarnate" Lesnar and the decelerating mass appeal of long standing franchise man John Cena is turning out to be a blessing in disguise for the next generation of World Wrestling Entertainment superstars. The circumstances have forced the company to develop new storylines and push the envelope of the troika of Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins. In the centre of it all is the newest heel of the WWE Rollins and he loves every minute of it.

The former member of The Shield was on hand to shed his thoughts to British website, Liverpool Echo, on the transition from baby face to the most hated heel in the ring. Rollins has just completed his turn to the dark side by double crossing his former brothers Ambrose and reigns and being touted as the new leader of the Authority as he is slated to steer the squad against Team Cena at the upcoming Survivor Series. The moment is being cherished by Rollins.

"I'm sitting here with a Money In The Bank contract waiting to cash it in on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, to become 'the guy'. And you look around and he's not hanging around too much now, so with Randy Orton being out, there's nobody else, I fancy myself as that guy right now, whether or not Brock Lesnar comes back or not, so it really couldn't have panned out any better," Rollins relayed to Liverpool Echo.

To say that Rollins is sitting at the top of the mountain is an understatement. The 28-year-old wrestler still has the Money in the Bank briefcase to cash in, meaning he can challenge at any time the reigning heavyweight champion to a match. Aside from that he has the animosity with Dean Ambrose going for him. The two produced an eventful Hell in a Cell that culminated with a cliffhanger with Bray Wyatt interrupted with the exciting match.

Rollins also shared in the interview that it was always his goal to be in the position to be one of the most recognizable brands in wrestling aside from Lesnar. And at a ripe under 30 years of age, the native of Idaho is looking forward to a healthy career in the WWE. Read the full transcript of Rollin's interview here.
