Microsoft removed the Windows 10 November Update version 151 as it reportedly intruded the privacy settings of the users due to a bug. Microsoft made the major Windows 10 update available for download on Nov. 12.

The bug disrupts the privacy settings and results in advertisers tracking users across all applications. This also allowed devices to share the user’s personal information via Bluetooth paired with a PC, tablet and even smartphone, reports PC World.

“When the November update was installed, a few settings preferences may have inadvertently not been retained for advertising ID, Background apps, SmartScreen Filter, and Sync with devices”, said Microsoft in a statement .

A Reddit user found that after running the latest Windows 10 update, some apps were uninstalled without prior permission. The company has admitted there are issues with the update as it intruded into the privacy settings of a few users that installed it.

Microsoft claims it addressed the issue once it became evident. The company pulled out the Windows 10 November update from its Media Creation Tool (MCT). But, Microsoft claims "an extremely small number of people," were affected by the glitch.

The tech giant also assured the “issue has been fixed” and affected users will have their previous settings restored in the coming days. There is no information on what made triggered the bug.

The November Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1511 is again available through MCT. This update brings performance improvements in Cortana and the Edge browser. On Nov. 12, Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 Xbox One.
