Which way is this bus going? National Geographic

It shouldn't be so difficult, but a picture of a yellow schoolbus with arrows pointing in different directions has left adults everywhere confused.

National Geographic had created its version of a popular logic puzzle for its "Brain Games" TV series, which uses "an intricate series of interactive experiments designed to mess with your mind" to reveal the way our brains work.

One of Nat Geo's "Brain Games" episodes found that the question about the school bus, which is often used in schools to test logic, saw almost 80 percent of children under 10 solving it easily. For grown-ups though, the test often proves to be too much of a challenge.

Are you over 10 and stumped? The key to solving the puzzle is the fact that the doors on the pictured bus are not visible, which leaves them on the other, unpictured side.

This means that if you were in the US, the correct answer would be that the bus was travelling to the left, whereas in other countries like Australia, where people drive on the left side of the road, the bus is travelling to the right.

Although the episode was aired at least two years ago, the puzzle seems to have surfaced over the last day to many claims from adults that they got the answer wrong.

"Well i live in aus so i couldnt figure it out the door is on the wrong side here," one YouTube user commented.

"I live in the UK - i got it wrong," said another.
