“Westworld” season 2 will not air until 2018 as confirmed by showrunner Jonathan Nolan. But as early as now, fans are already receiving spoilers and hints about what’s to come in the second season of the series. There are certain events that fans can expect to see when the series returns, and one of them is the possible return of Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins).

Viewers of “Westworld” season 1 know that Ford is dead. But it does not necessarily mean that the character will no longer appear in the second season of the show. The existence of a Ford host body could be a clear sign that he is indeed coming back for “Westworld” season 2.

Fans can also recall that Ford is still alive in the park. The young Ford is even speaking. It is expected that the little robot will carry Ford's wisdom in the second instalment of “Westworld” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

For many fans, Ford’s appearance in “Westworld” season 2 will bring delight. He is one of the main characters in “Westworld” season 1, known for his brilliance as the creative director of “Westworld.”

Fans are also looking forward to see if Elsie (Shannon Woodward) and Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) are still alive when “Westworld” returns for season 2. Viewers were shocked when the two characters did not appear in the final episode of “Westworld” season 1. The showrunners have no word as to why the characters are absent in the finale of the first season and the answer could be provided in “Westworld” season 2.

Stubbs is Westworld's security chief. He is in charge of ensuring that all guests are safe. Elsie, on the other hand, is a rising star in the Behavior Lab and Diagnostics Department. It would be nice to see these characters return for season 2. Official air date for “Westworld” season 2 is yet to be announced.
