Plus-size dancer Whitney Way Thore, 30, of North Carolina became an online sensation when a video of her dancing to Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty To Me” became viral on YouTube. What she did not expect was the viral video would land her a reality show.

While she was once a slim dancer, Thore gained 200 pounds in just one year when she was in college because of a rare condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

As part of her No Body Shame campaign, which goes by the motto, “Love yourself. Live fully. No excuses. No shame,” Thore wanted to reach as many people as possible through the viral video. She herself had struggled with her weight and she would like to inspire people with low confidence or anyone who feels like an outcast.

Now 380 pounds, Thore will star in her own reality television show titled “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” on the TLC cable network, which will premiere on Jan. 13, 2015. The show will focus on her life as a small-town girl with one-of-a-kind family and friends.

Titled “A Fat Girl Dancing: Talk Dirty to Me (Jason Derulo),” Thore’s viral video has reached almost six million views since it was published on YouTube on Jan. 29. Watch the viral video here:
