The third episode of “The Voice” Blind Auditions was cut short Tuesday due to NBC’s live coverage of the US presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Only six artists were featured on Tuesday night instead of 11. After the hour-long telecast, only five contestants are advancing to compete for “The Voice” season 11 title.

Coach Adam Levine was able to enlist Bindi Liebowitz of New Jersey and Elia Esparza of Texas while Miley Cyrus recruited Lane Mack from Louisiana and Karlee Metzger from Missouri. Alicia Keys got Josh Halverson from Texas while Blake Shelton got no new artist to join his team after the third episode.

Liebowitz got both Levine and Shelton to turn their red chairs after performing a rendition of Jazmine Sullivan’s “Bust Your Winders.”

For her part, Esparza took the risk to become a unique contestant when she decided to perform a Spanish song, “Como La Flor,” during the Blind Auditions.

Meanwhile, Metzger delivered an emotional performance of Regina Spektor’s “Samson.” While her mother assumed she will choose Shelton as her coach, she opted to join Team Miley.

Halverson got three coaches begging to train him after he performed a suave cover of “Forever Young” but he ended up on Team Alicia. On the other hand, Mack defaulted to Team Miley after singing “Every Day I Have the Blues.”

So far, Team Adam, Team Miley and Team Alicia all have six singers on their respective groups while Team Blake has five.

“The Voice” season 11 airs Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC. The top-rated singing talent show premiered on Sep. 19 and got over 12 million viewers since.
