NBC's “The Voice” Season 9 aired “The Battles, Part 3” on Monday. In a bid to prep up their recruits, “The Voice” coaches Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton, requested the mentors - Brad Paisley (Team Blake), John Fogerty (Team Adam), Missy Elliot (Team Pharrell) and Selena Gomez (Team Gwen), to advise and train them. The coaches paired up two of their team members to perform and fight against each other. Read on for "The Voice" Season 9 "The Battles, Part 3" recap.

Country singer Blake pitted Blaine Mitchell vs. Blind Joe. The duo performed “Old Time Rock and Roll” by Bob Seger. Blake chose Blind Joe over Blaine and this gave an opportunity for Adam to steal Blaine. The lead vocalist of Maroon 5 was quite smitten by the contender’s high notes. Adam also showed keen interest in finding out the other aspects of Blaine’s voice. Blaine was excited to be a part of Team Adam.

The next "The Voice" 2015 contenders from Team Adam were Cassandra Robertson and Viktor Király who were trained by John Fogerty and sang “Nobody Knows” by The Tony Rich Project. Adam chose Viktor over Cassandra as he was totally surprised by the former’s performance.

Even if he was picked by Adam over Cassandra, Viktor still said that she was amazing. Cassandra was also praised for her tremendous voice by all the four judges but none of them pressed their buzzers to steal her for their teams.

As for Gwen, she paired Chase Kerby vs. Korin Bukowski. They were trained by Selena Gomez and performed “Samson” by Regina Spektor. Gwen picked Korin over Chase. Despite receiving appreciation for the performance, Chase left the competition without being stolen by the other "The Voice" judges.

Evan McKeel and Riley Biederer from Team Pharrell were next to hop on stage. They won applause for performing “Higher Ground” by Stevie Wonder. Pharrell chose Evan as the winner of the battle but it's not yet over for Riley because Gwen chose to steal her from Pharrell.

The other Team Gwen contenders to battle it out are Braiden Sunshine and Lyndsey Elm. They were also trained by Selena Gomez and performed the track “No One Is to Blame” by Howard Jones. Gwen followed her heart and chose Braiden over Lyndsey.

Meanwhile, "The Voice" 2015's Team Adam chose twin sisters Andi & Alex to perform against Chance Peña. They set the stage on fire by performing “Wherever You Will Go” by The Calling. Their performance earned a standing ovation from the judges. Andi & Alex won the battle owing to their unbeatable synchronisation and voices. But Blake missed no time to steal Chance.
