Virgin Mobile USA that had dropped Apple’s iPhone from its lineup for more than five months has now decided to offer iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus at a discount of $100. The carrier is currently offering the 16GB iPhone 6 for just $549.99 and the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus at $649.99, according to reports.

For those, who are looking for a further cheaper option can consider buying the prepaid, 8GB iPhone 5c in white shade at a price of just $299.99, reports Techno Buffalo. The offer appears to be attractive but is limited to select models only. For instance, a 64GB or 128GB handset is not available under any offer and the iPhone 5c too, is available in white shade with 8 GB storage only. The offer comes from Virgin at a time when Apple is working towards rolling out its new iPhone models, namely, iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. However, a discount of $100 on the popular iPhone 6 and 6 Plus appears to be very lucrative for shoppers who are willing to get an iPhone at a reduced price.

This year, in February, Virgin Mobile had decided not to sell iPhones in its retail stores and back then, it was unclear, when would the carrier get iPhones back to its shelves, reports Tech Times. The publication also mentioned that Virgin did not give any explanation for its decision of not selling iPhones. However, it is expected that it could be Virgin Mobile’s parent company Sprint’s decision to make its subsidiaries wait before offering the latest smartphones. Sprint, too is offering the latest iPhone models through a leasing program that will help the company to gain more customers.

Meanwhile, another prepaid subsidiary of Sprint, named Boost Mobile is also offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus at a discount of $100. Therefore it is quite possible that many customers are taking up Boost Mobile’s offer.
