Vanessa Hudgens Joins Kristen Stewart in the Sheer Pants Trend; the New See-Through Obsession [SLIDESHOW]
Did "The Frozen Ground" star Vanessa Hudgens pull a Kristen Stewart and wear sheer pants for her movie premiere? Is there an alarming see-through obsession going on in Hollywood these days?
Thankfully, Vanessa Hudgens kept it SFW and steered clear of Kristen Stewart-level knicker-exposure when she joined co-star Nicolas Cage for the London premiere of "Frozen Ground" on July 17.
The 24-year-old was a stunner when she walked the red carpet at London's Vue West End. Vanessa continued her stylish streak with a nude, crossover bodice Jenny Packham jumpsuit adorned with lovely crystal beads. This outfit could easily have gone the way of Kristen Stewart's sheer Zuhair Murad pants during Paris Fashion Week. On the runway, Jenny Packham presented this jumpsuit without a stitch of lining. Although Vanessa Hudgens had a good amount of cleavage on display, she opted for modesty and added another layer to the see-through number. Vanessa did some clever styling by keeping her metallic accents consistent - gold clutch, gold nail color, sparkling sandals.
The former Disney star used to have more misses than hits on the red carpet, but things have changed for Vanessa Hudgens. Leaked nude photo scandal behind her, Vanessa is displaying a more refined red carpet look. And this isn't the first time Vanessa Hudgens and Kristen Stewart were style twins. Before they made a sheer pant tandem, the pair stepped out in similar lace outfits. Vanessa had fun with a black, lace jumpsuit from Alice by Temperley at a "Spring Breakers" premiere. Kristen Stewart opted for a more risqué and more elaborate Zuhair Murad lace number for a "Breaking Dawn Part 2" premiere.
Whether Kristen Stewart and Vanessa Hudgens have ushered a new see-through obsession, only the next few red carpet events will tell!
